Old School PC D&D Goodness

Post by Roderick » Tue Feb 28, 2012 4:07 pm

Just an FYI for anyone looking to get a hold of some of the classic Old School PC Dungeons and Dragons games. Gamersgate has the D&D Anthology for $7. That includes:

Baldurs Gate 1
Baldurs Gate 2
Icewind Dale 1
Icewind Dale 2
Planescape Torment
The Temple of Elemental Evil
*All Expansions Included on Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 as well as Icewind Dale 1 & 2

It is a 66% off deal but I am not sure how long it lasts.

Pfft. You call that old school? I still have the Pool of Radiance series. (By the way, why is Phlan not in the game?)

Hillsfar, Heroes of the Lance, and War of the Lance... probably the first few AD&D games made by SSI back in the late 1980s.

I finally threw out my handmade, 3 foot by 5 foot map from Pool of Radiance. Just last year when I cleaned out my den.

If I've been a little bit scarce lately, this is partially to blame for it.

Just so you guys all know, it looks like Wizards of the Coast gave the go-ahead for some company to revamp the Baldurs Gate series.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited.

Good morning all. This isn't really D&D but it is old school so I thought I would throw it out there. GOG.com has the original Fallout for free for a little while. I had heard for the next 24 hours, but I can't confirm that on the site anywhere. So, if you are a fan of post-apocalyptic wastelands of disaster and despair (or as I like to call them, my 2012 Kansas City Royals) and you like free....well prepare to be happy.
