I would love to see bedrolls that could be purchased for sleeping on outside of the town. I've not found any in the game yet, but it would be great if you could purchase them and then use the roll and unroll commands while they are on the ground to open them up and then sleep on them. Perhaps even allow them to be rolled up and then strapped to a backpack that is worn for storage(as is done by many campers in the real world.)
Also, it would be nice to see lanterns that don't vanish when they are used up but instead could be refilled using oil flask. I was somewhat disappointed when I bought a lantern and oil only to find out that once the lantern went out, the item vanished from my character instead of allowing me to refill it.
I feel both of these would by fairly simple ways to enhance the personal role playing experience of characters who venture outside of the towns.

Re: Refilling lanterns with oil and sleeping on bed rolls
For the bedroll, you're going to get a very straightforward response: if you want it, build it. The game is very open to player contributions so if you want to build a simple shop to sell some bedrolls, you can probably apply for that and have it added to the game pretty quickly. If you need help with coding, check out the 'builders' tab above or ask in the area discussion forum.Velshir wrote:I would love to see bedrolls that could be purchased for sleeping on outside of the town. As for the lantern, the travelers lights are hard-coded specifically like that. The oil is mainly for RP purposes.

There are bedrolls for purchase available in the game and you can refill lanterns with oil. It might depend on the lantern though.

Though, as far as I know, they give no bonus to regeneration (at least not that I've seen, but perhaps I've not used them properly or don't know how to use them?). Sleeping on the ground is a lot more rough than sleeping on a bedroll, that's for sure.Gwain wrote:There are bedrolls for purchase available in the game [...]

Did not see him asking for bonuses. I thought he wanted them for rp purposes?

True, and to be fair I don't know how that would be coded anyhow, since healing rate is Con bonus and how the room is set..Gwain wrote:Did not see him asking for bonuses. I thought he wanted them for rp purposes?

Bedrolls already exist. I will place them in a few more shops around the Realms though.
