Faith Managers!

Post by Mele » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:28 am

It's that time again where I will post a public notice and try to see more from our
faith managers. Are you logging in for hopefuls only? Are you logging in at all?
Are you having meetings or events? Are you proactively doing anything for the
faith beyond bringing in a new character every few months? Are you advancing
faithful beyond the cookie cutter initiate? Do your faith ranks have specific
meaning or duties to your faith? Are you available for any silly concerns from
hopefuls?

If any, or most of this is no I think it's time to ask ourselves why not.

- An initiate is extremely active with hundreds of hours and a good
understanding of the Church and Dogma. Don't ask yourself why TO
advance them. Ask yourself why NOT.

- You have a faith with plentiful numbers, but have not deemed what
the ranks of your Church specifically mean per your faith. Why NOT
take the extra initiative and give that extra roleplay and ic titles
to your faithful?

- You have hopefuls that might have logged in for a time, but it is
possible they are still lurking on alts and may log in if they see
an announcement in the events forums for a meet and greet. Why not?

- You're of capable level to host an adventure, with faithfuls with
quests to do - why not have an event to do a few as a group?

It's gone to show in FK history that the more active a faith manager
is - the more active a faith is. As much as we may all justify
inactivity with a lack of players in a faith it's clear they all
go through phases. Maybe your faith can be the next phase - or better-
become the most active the longest thanks to a proactive faith manager.

Challenge accepted? :)

As per usual, anyone who feels overwhelmed with this can feel free to
PM me and ask to step down, we all have real lives real stresses and
real priorities. No one expects you to play a character you're no longer
interested in, and if your faith manager is one who has slipped from your
interest there is no shame in opening the spot for someone else! Most
importantly, please don't just keep a position because you enjoy the position
when you do not enjoy playing the alt.

NOMINATE A FM!

I do not promise in any means every suggestion will be promoted but
here is an opportunity for all of you. Do you feel like I have overlooked
someone who would make a great faith manager? Can you tell me why?

SEND ME A PM TITLED 'FAITH MANAGER NOMINATION'.

Do not post here. Do not send me names of inactive characters, please.

Also note, Tempus runs his own show and while I will pass along any good
behaviors sent to me, he is not a specific part of this unless he chooses
to take the suggestions to heart.

In eight days it will have been a month since this post came up.

How many times did you log your faith manager in? If the answer is less than four, that's not even once a week. Again ask yourself if you have it in you to fulfill this kind of position - there is no shame in stepping down.

Did you advance anyone? Did you make an event post? Etc.
