Helpfile Changes!

This topic will be to keep people up to date on what changes have been made to our help files. Sometimes these changes will be minor and sometimes these changes will be bigger and update changes to things like policy. A lot of times these changes go by and people have no idea and it would have benefited people to know what has changed.

Please post here when you have made a change to a help file, big or small, even if it was just fixing a typo. Even those small changes let people know this is something we are actively working on, and people are actively working behind the scenes rather that just saying we're working on it. And give a BRIEF explanation of what was changed. People can go look and see the helps themselves. No need to copy the whole thing here.

Also, do not post to this thread requesting changes or pointing out mistakes and such. That can be done in a new topic elsewhere. The only people that should be posting here, please, are those that have actually made adjustments to the helps. I'll start off by posting a couple I did yesterday.

I removed all references to the old builder email address as it is no longer in existence. I think I got them all. I attempted to add where things that used to go to that old address should now be sent.

New FM help files were added! Well maybe just one.. Other people need to send those in!

Help Resistances

Changed to show the new fields represented by the command. Also added the field descriptors.

Earlier this week:
Updated infravision (now darkvision) spell helpfile to reflect new terminology
Updated Antimagic Shell spell helpfile to clarify how level impacts effects

Last night, Moloch added helpfiles for Darkvision and Low-Light Vision; I buffed them a little this morning.

This morning I added a helpfile for the new Spell Resistance cleric spell, and linked it with Antimagic Shell, Lower, 5th Level Cleric Spells, and Resistance

This evening I added helpfiles for Darkvision and Spell Resistance in general, and adjusted links accordingly. Also added a helpfile on the Spell Resistance ability.

Added helpfiles for Hit Bonus and Damage Bonnus today, linking them to SCORE.

Also edited a few of the subtopics under SCORE and added new links to LOAD and ALIGNMENT.

Added Suicide helpfile to reflect new official policy against it, linked to Policies, Death, and Guidelines for Roleplay.

Added additional keywords to these helpfiles as well.

Slightly renamed and added keywords to Laura's Roleplay Guide.

Added FM helpfiles today! Some old, some new. Also went about fixing various typos. It is 'their' not 'thier' .

Seems many people have trouble remembering the 'note' commands so I added a link to the 'write' helpfile adding the note command there.
Also I added something to say what you should use if you are looking to write a note.

Edited the helpfiles for slink, mnemonic enhancer, sagacity, and bulls strength to reflect the fact that the spells no longer give seemingly random increases. You'll get the same affect each time you cast.

Added links and keywords to the helpfiles around Aid, Bleeding, Lost Limbs, and Damage.

Added a new helpfile on HEALING and linked to the above.

Updated the Publications and Email helpfiles to reflect the passing of the last @fk email address and the complete shift to using the forums for communications with the game administration.

Added notes to the EMOTE helpfile to show that a comma (,) is a shortcut for the emote command.

Modified expertise helpfile to better indicate the required intelligence and to clarify what it does. (Thanks to Liandria for the suggestion!)

Added new helpfiles for Shield Proficiency and Tower Shield Proficiency, and modified other helpfiles to reflect the changed brought in with these feats. Updated and clarified Shieldwork helpfile. Added new Shields helpfile to outline the different types and their relative strengths and weaknesses. Updated bash to reflect new shield requirements.

Edited Armoursmithing helpfile to reflect changes in how shields are now constructed.

Edited polearms helpfile to clarify that "A polearm can be wielded in one hand only if mounted or if it is at least one size category smaller than your character (e.g. small for a medium PC)"

Went through the various race helpfiles today and tagged the ones that are not available for creation.

Updated THROWN WEAPONS and FORMATION and rewrote SHOOT/THROW. Added clarifying comment on how to train Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialisation feats.

Updated single-edged, double-edged, and great blades helpfiles to reflect correct classification of Sai and the dual nature of Broadswords and Katanas. Also corrected classification of warhammers and light hammers in long and short spikes help topics. (Thanks to Brar for identifying the problems!)

Removed all remaining references to infravision from the helpfiles (replaced with darkvision). Updated Drow helpfile to indicate Faerie Fire ability, and Drow, Halfdrow, Dwarf, and Orc helpfiles to indicate innate darkvision.

Added links to subspells for True Sight, added Detect Invisibility keyword to Detect Invis (anyone know why this specific name got the short shrift?).
