Distracted during casting

Does being distracted during casting have different outcomes for Mages and Clerics?
I may be wrong entirely with this one and if i am i apologise...

Mages when casting who get distracted fail the spell and also lose the spell from the memory
Clerics when casting who get distracted fail the spell but keep the spell in their memory

Is this correct?

I don't believe my mage loses the spell when distracted.
