Repairing items yourself

Post by Trillarel » Sun Sep 23, 2012 6:18 pm

I got back to an alt who is supposed to become a ranger in the future.

Since the rangers are supposed to be self-sufficient, and there is already a fletching trade in-game, I thought that it would be a good idea to allow characters to repair their items themselves.

Such repairs would require having the correct item (eg. a fletching knife to repair arrows) and knowing the correct trade (eg. fletching to repair arrows).

It could be expanded to armour and weapons, using armorsmithing and weaponsmithing.

What say you?

Mending
=======
Syntax: mend <object> <raw material>

If you have a skill in making armour or weapons you can also repair them.
You need the specific skill to make that item in order to be able to repair
it using the mend command. The raw material must match the material of the
object you wish to mend.

Thanks - I was looking under 'help repair' and it didn't occur to me to type 'help mend'.
