The pallisades-Ardeep vendor

Post by Theolund » Fri Dec 21, 2012 7:31 pm

A small hut
N-A small clearin
The interior of this small wooden hut is barely decorated. A simple
bed stands in the right part of the hut while the rest is occupied by
a large table, two chairs, and a cupboard filled with various items.
A wonderfully crafted leather shirt lies on the table, next to several
animal skins that should be turned into leather armours soon.
A moon elf ranger is working on some elven armour here.
You hear the sound of small animals moving through the undergrowth.
A moon elf ranger says to you 'That item is out of stock at the moment'
Item Price
1) an elven chainmail coif 4pp, 1gp, 5cp
2) elven chainmail gauntlets 4pp, 1gp, 5cp
3) elven chainmail armour 12pp, 3gp, 1sp, 6cp
You hiccup loudly.
A moon elf ranger says to you 'That item is out of stock at the moment'
A moon elf ranger says to you 'That item is out of stock at the moment'
A moon elf ranger says to you 'That item is out of stock at the moment'
You burp loudly.

Is this intentional or is he just not have a stock in a side room?

Intentional.

Just noticed this is the wrong category to place this.

I am curious the reasoning why it was done though? If it's not to be sold it's just there basically trying to tease people or take up space when no one would/can buy it. I'm assuming its just generic average quality light mail which is non existant currently outside of rmi rewards which is above the average.

I think that a few years ago it was decided that metals like mithril, elven metal, and adamantine would be mostly available through racial crafters and that shops that sold coded items of that type would either have the items retooled to be other metals or that they were left on low stock. I don't know if that's the case here though.

Ah. another good reason for trades to get a little work. That aside I thoughtthe examine showed it to be average quality and materials. I always thought it was normal steel. Thx Gwain.

Yes. The case here is that the vendor was selling objects which were composed of elven steel and the issue is what Gwain explained.

Ah. That makes sense! I thought it was just generic steel light mail.

Ok, and what does "low stock" mean?

Means the vendor is "out of stock" it shows the item but it has none to sell.
