Why no Sorcerers Yet

A year ago, full spontaneous spellcasting was introduced on bards, and the biggest excitement I got from that was the thought that sorcerer introduction would be imminent. Take a wizard, change spell-casting to spontaneous, change casting stat from Int to Cha, and enforce a hard limit on number of spells trainable per spell level and clvl, and you have a sorcerer. It certainly seems like a huge bang for your buck in terms of content to implementation.

Perhaps the predominant concerns are with over-saturation and/or balance, in which case I'd suggest a kismet cost or application requirement would solve it.

I think the idea was to get barbarians ingame before any other classes were added - that is waiting on someone with building skills who has the time and interest in building a guildhouse for them.

There are no plans to add additional classes at this time.

Though, if someone wants to build a sorcerer-esque bard school, or a monk/barbarian flavoured fighters' guild, that would certainly be an interesting project.

I could see Thay having something like this and the Thayan region of the game doesn't have much, if anything... good idea. Red, black, and gold bard-sorcerers. :D

Wow, this would be a cool idea.
