Is this guy meant to be evil?

(Black Aura) Acerdaen, the Baelnorn turns to face you.

I suppose the builder just renamed a lich and liches are always evil?
Could his alignment be shifted to be appropriate or... if he really is meant to be evil then ignore me.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

It's probably as you say- simply a shortcut used by the builders. I wouldn't worry about it.
This is the kind of thing that makes the Gods think we're fools.

Caethos- Half-Elf Red Knight Cleric
Ithaca- Wild Elf Warrior
Plathine- Human Pirate
Schezalle- Drow Executioner Rogue

I thought I changed this a long time ago, but maybe I am mistaken; it's a simple case of changing the mobiles from SIMPLE (with default racial alignments) to UNIQUE (with builder specified alignments).

Thanks for pointing it out.
