[Three parter possibly, will post as replies to this thread.]
Daerin looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Aislynn dips her head respectfully at Belator Durmstrang as he enters.
Hagor looks at Belator Durmstrang.
A blind, wretched-looking male human wets his lips at the sound.
The bailiff says 'The tribunal begins with the selection of tribunes three.'
Saoirse inclines her head respectfully.
Furtaltik takes travellers rations from an ornate sapphire leather pack.

Aislynn looks at Skylar.
Elisabeth looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Aislynn smiles at Skylar.
He is dressed in white plate mail. Despite the pious look, he doesn't look
like someone you want to cross. Over his eyes is a thin white piece of cloth.
On one hand is a white glove and on the other is a black gloves. Around his
neck he wears a holy symbol of his god.

Katheryn looks at A blind, wretched-looking male human.
Hagor looks at A blind, wretched-looking male human.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Furtaltik steps out from the benches to be seen, 'I will.'.
You regain enough power to cast gate.
Elisabeth's gaze passes over the three.
The bailiff says 'Three step forward, upon whom do the defence and opposition agree?'.
Aziza turns to scrutinize each of the three volunteers.
Daerin says 'No objections, Your honor.'
Skylar looks at Furtaltik.
A blind, wretched-looking male human finds his way forward with tiny steps, politely apologizing to every person he squeezes past.
Aziza says to Daerin 'I think we're supposed to pick just one of them for now.'
Daerin Hmmmms...
Daerin nods at Aziza. 'I choose Master Marvin.'.
Aziza asks 'Is Marvin the blind man?'
Daerin nods.
A blind, wretched-looking male human says 'I am called Marvin in the Sword Coasts. Before that, I was only known as blind one.'
Daerin says 'Just so.'
Saoirse looks at A blind, wretched-looking male human.
Aziza nods, 'I'll agree to that. No objections.'.

Elisabeth looks at A blind, wretched-looking male human.
Aislynn looks at A blind, wretched-looking male human.
A blind, wretched-looking male human brings his hands together in a kowtowing gesture, head bowing. 'I accept this grave responsibility' he says with severity in his foreign accent.
The bailiff says 'Marvin is so appointed to Tribune for reason.'.
This frumpy little man hunches from a bent back. Both his dark beard and the
hair of his head are a short, lice-free cut. A pair of uneven scars cross his
brow resembling an X, one stroke across each of his slightly-slanted eyes.
They occasionally reveal their sheer white. His strong calloused hands and
wrinkles suggest him to be of middle-age. Though the years have not been kind
to him, he appears to have bathed recently.

Daerin grins.
Skylar's light blue eyes lift towards Yuli.
Celric inclines his head to A blind, wretched-looking male human, and then speaks up again to the bailiff, 'I will.'.
Skylar looks at Yuli.
Hagor says 'Meh can'
Skylar looks at Hagor.
Celric looks at Hagor.
Furtaltik speaks a bit more confidently, 'Furtaltik of Waterdeep.'.
Aziza looks at Hagor.
Hagor cants his head.
Daerin glances at Aziza. 'Your turn to pick.'.
Yuli tips her head towards Skylar.
The bailiff says 'Upon whom do the defence and opposition agree?'.
Elisabeth purses her lips tightly at the sound of Hagor's offering.
Aziza gestures towards Furtaltik, 'I would choose the gnome for this responsibility.'.
Daerin Hmmmms...
Daerin looks at Furtaltik.
Skylar stops using a sunburst jewel.
A tiny, gangly gnome with a large bulb of a nose and a bit of stubble on his
upper lip. He has wide, brown eyes that appear to glisten with flecks of
yellow or gold. Short, black hair peeks out from under his hood. A
leather-bound book with arcane symbols bobs behind his belt.

Aziza says 'Gnomes are the most emotionally apt race.'
Aziza nods at Furtaltik.
Daerin looks at Furtaltik, then cocks his head, thinking for a long moment.
Daerin nods. 'No objection.'.
Yuli stops using an elegant bracelet with a fire ruby heart.
Belator Durmstrang frowns and then whispers to the bailiff.
Katheryn's fingers toy idly with the woven cord about her wrist, smiling faintly at the proceedings.
Yuli stops using a ruby rose on a silver chain.
The bailiff says 'The gnome is a known contact of the accused. He is invalid.'.
Elisabeth frowns.
The bailiff says 'Upon whom do the defence and opposition agree?'.
You raise an eyebrow.
Elisabeth looks at Furtaltik.
Furtaltik steps back, frowning, and takes a seat.
Skylar nods faintly, then looks to Hagor.
Furtaltik sits down and relaxes.
Furtaltik sits on a long wooden bench.
Katheryn looks at Hagor.
Daerin glances to Aziza, then offers. 'I'd move for Master Celric to stand for the Tribune of Emotion.'.
Hagor hmmms '...meh need ta withdraw den...meh do know Cabadath' he says in honesty.
Elisabeth looks upon Furtaltik for a long moment, then briefly toward you with knitted brows ere she shakes her head to look forward again.
Aziza asks Daerin 'Well, we don't exactly have a lot of options, do we?'
Daerin grins at Aziza.
Daerin says to Aziza 'See? Luck.'
Daerin wiggles his eyebrows toward Aziza.
Aziza stares at Daerin.
Skylar frowns faintly.
Yuli slightly frowns.
Celric glances at Daerin, and lifts his eyebrows.
Daerin hums a little tune.
The bailiff says 'Upon whom do the defence and opposition agree?'.
Aziza asks Hagor 'How well do you know Cabadath?'
Hagor says to Aziza 'No clue. ENough ta go adventuring wit him with no qualms'
Aziza says to Hagor 'And what is the nature of your relationship.'
Hagor says to Aziza 'Friend'
Cabadath's lips curl upwards in a soft smile.
Aziza fixes a look on Ailyn, Yuli, Hostelner, Saoirse, Harroghty, and A graceful, saturnine male halfelf, 'And there are no additional volunteers?'.
Hostelner stands and dips his head before saying 'I, Lord Hostelner Blackthorn, will offer myself to stand for emotion.'.
Daerin blinks at Hostelner in disbelief.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf looks pensive.
The bailiff says 'Tribune Celric cannot be agreed upon?'.
Katheryn purses her lips tightly, glancing aside at Skylar before she looks over to Elisabeth with a faint smile, gaze shifting to Hostelner with a growing smile.
Katheryn looks at Hostelner.
Aislynn looks at Hostelner.
Aziza looks at Hostelner.
Ailyn glances at Hostelner.
Celric presses his lips together, glancing off to the side.
Daerin Hmmmms...
A blind, wretched-looking male human listens with a very slight turn of his head, eyes fluttering in a wince of thought. He stiffens his lips as he listens quite intently with only a wiggle of his toes where he stands.
Aziza points towards Hostelner, 'I'll accept Lord Hostelner Blackthorn, then.'.
Saoirse rubs her forehead lightly.
Aislynn hmms softly.
Yuli whispers something to Aislynn.
Daerin shrugs at Celric, then nods to Aziza. 'In the interest of an expediant trial, which Cabadath is entitled too, I must agree.'.
The bailiff sayto daerin Do you accept Blackthorn or are you at a disagreement.
Aislynn leans over slightly to listen to Yuli.
The bailiff say Then Hostelner is accepted as Tribune of Emotion.
The bailiff says 'Then Hostelner is accepted as Tribune of Emotion.'
Elisabeth nods.
Aziza says to Daerin 'The requirement for a speedy trial is to avoid the accused languishing in prison without being judged. That is not what is occuring here.'
Hostelner nods and steps to the side of A blind, wretched-looking male human.
Daerin says to Aziza 'My statement stands.'
The bailiff asks 'Last Tribune, balance. Who will offer themselves to be appointed by the Justice?'
A blind, wretched-looking male human bows his head in a nod of quiet greeting to Hostelner.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Celric rubs at the back of his neck, 'I will.'.
The set of black marble doors is closed.
Daerin gazes thoughtfully at Celric and says 'Hmmm.'
The bailiff looks to Belator Durmstrang, then to those gathered.
Harroghty takes a step gl.
Belator Durmstrang says to Celric 'Done'
Celric looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Harroghty takes a step to the wall and assumes a lean against it.
You nod at him.
Daerin nods at you.
Celric blinks once, glancing over Belator Durmstrang. He nods, and bows his head.
Hostelner stops using a bracelet of intertwined gears.
Aislynn nods faintly at Yuli.
Hostelner stops using an amulet of communication.
Daerin raises a hand. 'I'd like to request that the Loremaster be offered entrance to this trial, as his testimony will likely be imperitive for both sides cases.'.
Aziza holds a hand up, 'Might I have a private word with the Justice on a matter related to one of my witnesses?'.
The bailiff says 'Three tribunes are set, from them shall deliberation be made in concert with the Justice.'
The bailiff says to Daerin 'So noted.'
The bailiff says to Aziza 'Approach and inform his honour.'
Aziza nods.
Aziza takes a few steps closer to whisper to Belator Durmstrang.
A lanky, chestnut-haired female human is in perfect health.
A blind, wretched-looking male human reaches up to remove the amulet around his neck, pulling it free and putting it up his sleeve.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
A blind, wretched-looking male human stops using an amulet of communication.
The set of black marble doors is closed.
Thaien nods.
Elisabeth looks at Thaien.
Daerin waves to Thaien.
You blink.
You nod at him.
Hagor waves to Thaien.
Aislynn dips her head politely to Thaien.
Celric looks at Thaien.
Ailyn dips her head to Thaien from her seat.
Thaien looks around at the gathered crowd then nods to you and Daerin, then takes a seat. 'I apologize for my tardiness.'.
Celric nods over to Thaien.
Someone knocks on the set of black marble doors to the south.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
The bailiff says to Daerin 'Inform him of the expected strictures of the tribunal, there is minimal leeway.'
Daerin blinks.
Daerin says to Thaien 'No talking, eating, or general horseplay unless called upon.'
Elisabeth stares at the sky.
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'It will be taken into consideration, however the procedings will go forward nonetheless.'
Daerin shrugs in response to Elisabeth.
Elisabeth looks sidelong toward Thaien, 'And most especially no magic or weapons bared.'.
Aziza nods slowly before returning to her station.
Daerin says to Thaien 'Ahh, right. No amulets.'
The set of black marble doors is closed.
Daerin says to Thaien 'No spells. You'll likely be found in contempt. Whispers only, please.'
Daerin nods at Belator Durmstrang.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Aziza clasps her hands behind her back as she addresses Belator Durmstrang, 'May I therefore begin with a reading of the formal charges brought against Cabadath the Mad?'.
Thaien nods at Daerin.
The bailiff thwumps his staff on the tiles of the hall, 'We commence this trial against one Cabadath. As recognized as the personage here.'.
Thaien stops using a finely crafted purple bronze amulet.
Hostelner throws his cloak to the side and takes a seat.
Hostelner sits and relaxes.
The bailiff point you.
Elisabeth looks at you.
Thaien stops using a silvery laced bracer with sunstar embroidery.
You nod.
Hagor looks at you.
Celric tilts his head a touch aside, glancing between Aziza and the bailiff briefly. His gaze follows the indication to you, and gives a small nod.
The bailiff continues, 'The defence is here noted as Daerin. The prosecution Aziza.'.
the bailiff says 'The prosecution may begin the reading of said charged followed by the opening statement. The defence may then make its statement.'
Belator Durmstrang nod, 'Begin.'.
A lanky, chestnut-haired female human is in perfect health.
Celric takes a small step back toward the other tribune, gaze fixing on Aziza.
Aziza clears her throat politely, 'Many thanks for your forbearance for our inexperience, judge. And as I am not intoxicated, allow me to begin in all earnestness. Cabadath is charged therefore with three principle crimes.' She pauses, turning towards the three tribunes as she continues, 'He is charged with the reckless and dangerous practice of necromancy, with the bringing to a hideous unlife of innocent souls. He is also charged with the murder of Isabelle Marshall and the murder of Vaeritas Marshall.'.
Celric squints briefly as he listens, hmming softly.
A blind, wretched-looking male human dryly scrapes his bottom lip with his teeth as he listens, his face drawn up like a lemon-sucking pucker.
Daerin nods at Aziza, and speaks.
Daerin nods. 'It is my intent to prove that while Cabadath was indeed raising the undead, his intent was scholarly in nature, and the deaths of the Marshall children were accidents cause by zealotry on their part, and that their lives were wasted at their own discretio' n."
You no longer feel heroic.
Aziza clasps her hands together as she continues, 'His every crime has been witnessed, and these witnesses will speak to you of what they saw. Necromancy is an affront to civilised races, but the necromancy of Cabadath, also known as Cabadath the Mad, has gone beyond what may be tolerated by any sane ind' ividuals." She briefly shakes her head, 'You will therefore have to find him guilty, to ensure the safety of the realms. You may be tempted to find that his actions, which took place beyond the walls of a city, are -'.
The bailiff says to Daerin 'Wait your turn.'
Daerin coughs and waits his turn.
Elisabeth rubs briefly at her nose.
Your title has been set to ', The Mad?'.
Note: your title is 'in character' information, so please ensure that it is
appropriate for your character.
Your title has been set to 'The Mad?'.
Note: your title is 'in character' information, so please ensure that it is
appropriate for your character.
A blind, wretched-looking male human flares his nostrils as a laugh tries to sneak out on his breath.
Cabadath winces ever so slightly at the interruption.
Aziza bobs her head lightly and continues, in brief, 'You may be tempted to find that his actions took place beyond the jurisdiction of any city, but you must remember, this is a court of Tyr. The gods are everywhere, and their justice is everywhere. If you find in favour of this argument..' She pauses, for brief dramatic effect, '.. then you must fear for your safety every time you travel. Justice must be for every man, woman, and child, regardless of where they are. It is the hallmark of civilization, the trait which seperates us from the savages of the wilderness. Thank-you.' She bows her head lightly towards Daerin.
Daerin apologizes to Aziza.
The bailiff says to Daerin 'You may speak your opening statement now, defence.'
Daerin clears his throat loudly.
Katheryn looks at Isabelle.
Harroghty looks at you.
Celric folds his arms over his chest, keeping his attention on Aziza for a moment longer before fixing the same attention on Daerin.
Elisabeth gives a slight nod toward Aziza, then looks to Daerin.
Katheryn spies Isabelle and blinks in surprise, giving a faint smile before looking around briefly, then settling her gaze back to the focus of Daerin.
Skylar flexes her left hand carefully, then settles it back to rest with the other with thumbs looped into the swordbelt slung low on her hip.
Cabadath's gaze wanders from Aziza to Daerin.
Daerin nods. 'It is my intent to prove that while Cabadath was indeed raising the undead, his intent was scholarly in nature, and the deaths of the Marshall children were accidents cause by zealotry on their part, and that their lives were wasted at their own discretio' n. While the law of the gods is everywhere, it is up to the worshipers to act with reasonable care. In attacking Cabadath in these circumstances, the children in question have proven that their actions were not those of a rational person, and that Cabadaths response must be considered as one of self defense, rather than one of intentional murder."
Daerin says 'In the scholarly pursuit of raising the dead, Cabadath was plumbing the depths of the school of necromancy, in order to better understand it in his role as an Oghman and potential educator.'
Cabadath nods quietly as Daerin speaks.
Skylar's pinkish lips curl faintly downwards at one corner.
Daerin bows his head, nodding to Aziza and to the bailiff, completing his statement.
Saoirse maintains her arms crossed as her gaze moves over to Elisabeth thoughtfully for just a moment before it returns to the front.
Celric hums quietly a moment, rubbing on his chin.
Ailyn silently shakes her head, listening.
Aziza turns to address Daerin quite frankly, 'Is Cabadath choosing to confess to the charge of necromancy?'.
Cabadath keeps his gaze on Daerin.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
A blind, wretched-looking male human lifts one eyebrow as he squints pointlessly in pondering, shifting on his feet.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf cocks an eyebrow.
Belator Durmstrang says 'Save it for the stand, prosecution.'
Elisabeth gives a second, similar nod at Daerin's conclusion.
Aziza bows her head lightly towards Belator Durmstrang and raises her hands.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf looks at Aziza.
Daerin smiles at Aziza, and says nothing.
Hostelner looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Thaien hums quietly to himself, nodding along with the proceedings.
The bailiff looks to Aziza and Daerin, 'Prosecutor flips, defence calls. Winner may present their witness/evidence first.'.
The bailiff drops a shiny gold flipping coin.
A blind, wretched-looking male human briefly smiles at the sound of a coin hitting the floor.
Aziza gets a shiny gold flipping coin.
Aziza holds a shiny gold flipping coin in her right hand.
Aziza glances at Daerin.
Daerin says 'I call life.'
You nod at him.
Daerin says 'Growing oak.'
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf snickers.
Celric grins briefly.
Aziza nods, 'Ahh, life in prison.' She flips the coin.
Aziza stops using a shiny gold flipping coin.
Aziza drops a shiny gold flipping coin.
The golden coin falls on the dead tree stump face.
Daerin tsks.
Aziza gets a shiny gold flipping coin.
Aziza gives a shiny gold flipping coin to Belator Durmstrang.
Aziza clasps her hands together again once the coin is handed off, 'In that case, I would call Elisabeth Marshall to the stand.'.
The bailiff says to Daerin 'You may object to a question, but you may not question their witness until the prosecution is finished. You will go after them, and the same rules apply.'
Daerin nods at the bailiff in acknowledgement.
Hostelner looks at Daerin.
The bailiff says 'Both parties shall alternate, presenting witnesses/evidence, the opposing party able to question it only after.'
Cabadath shifts his gaze to Aziza.
Elisabeth rises from her seat only when the bailiff finishes, stepping forward to approach the stand with head given to brief bow.
Elisabeth greets you.
Belator Durmstrang asks 'Is there any question to this before the first the prosecution begins?'
A blind, wretched-looking male human steepens his jaw and shakes his head very slowly.
Daerin says to Belator Durmstrang 'None, your honor.'
Aziza shakes her head, 'No questions, your honour.'.
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'Continue.'
Aziza bows her head lightly, 'My thanks.' She approaches the stand and addresses Elisabeth, 'Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth before these mortal witnesses and your god Tyr, knowing that any failure to tell the truth will see your eternal soul judged harshly?'.
Elisabeth says with words pitched to carry clear throughout the hall, 'Aye, I so swear.'.
Elisabeth looks at Aziza.
Aziza gives a short nod towards Elisabeth, 'Very well. Then, allow me to begin. Where was it that you encountered the defendant, Cabadath?'.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'Within the Howling Peaks.'
Aziza nods, 'And was he accompanied by undead? If so, how many undead were there?'.
Daerin says 'Objection.'
Elisabeth replies, seemingly not at all discomforted by her present position, 'He was. Fifteen Fi--'.
Elisabeth glances at Daerin.
Aziza raises her brow at Daerin, but remains silent.
Daerin says 'The number of undead is not in question in this trial, only the fact of whether or not he was animating'
Skylar rests her face in her palm for a moment.
Aziza says 'I fail to see any reason to object to the question.'
Aziza says 'I am attempting to show that not only is Cabadath a necromancer, but he is also a necromancer of such prolific quantity as to become far more hazardous than even others of his dark profession.'
Celric glances at Daerin, canting his head aside.
Belator Durmstrang says 'I'll allow it for now, but make sure the details stay relevant to this trial.'
Elisabeth looks a wordless question toward Belator Durmstrang.
Elisabeth nods.
Daerin bows his head to Belator Durmstrang and accepts the ruling.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'Fifteen reanimated goblin corpses, Mistress Aziza.'
Aziza bows her head lightly, 'Thank-you, your honour.' She turns back to address Elisabeth, 'Now, in your own words, tell us what happened when you encountered Cabadath, up to the point that a fight started. Try not to leave out any detail.'.
Cabadath reaches up to tenderly hold his symbol.
Skylar's lips curl faintly, a glimmer of stark white teeth revealed by some distaste as she listens.
A graceful, saturnine male .
Harroghty pushes himself away from the wall with an elbow and stands straight, his hands going to hang upon the lip of his belt.
Aislynn breathes out a soft, perhaps slightly frustrated exhalation.
Other players will see your pose as 'Cabadath is tenderly grasping the symbol around his neck, sitting besides Daerin.'.
Elisabeth takes a short breath, then says, her gaze wandering from Aziza to pass over A blind, wretched-looking male human, Hostelner, and Celric as she does, 'We came upon the horde and quickly enough determined it was likely to belong to the wizard Cabadath. The accusation was spoken by Vaeritas, and Cabadath freely admitted to the charge.'.
Hostelner crosses his legs and leans back in his seat to take on a more elegant posture as he listens to Elisabeth.
Elisabeth says 'We demanded he release them each from their servitude, explaining that it is not his place to bend another's will.'
Aziza gives a short nod as she listens to Elisabeth.
Celric hesitates a moment, before leaning aside to whisper quietly to Hostelner.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Hostelner leans over just slightly to hear Celric.
Elisabeth lifts a hand, recalling, 'He disagreed. He willed them to be his, and so they were rightly his, he argued.' She pauses. ''Seize power as you find it, and make yourself free', were his words.'.
Cabadath keeps his gaze on Elisabeth as she speaks.
a bracelet of intertwined gears glows briefly as Hostelner activates it.
.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf looks at Hostelner.
Aziza nods slowly towards Elisabeth, 'Did your brother, Vaeritas, come to any sort of agreement with Cabadath regarding his undead slaves?'.
Celric quickly lays a hand on Hostelner's flashing bracely, and nods, as he leans back, gaze remaining level on Elisabeth.
Hostelner stops using a bracelet of intertwined gears.
The bailiff gives Hostelner a single warning finger.
Elisabeth pauses once more to let her words hang, then says on with a nod for Aziza, 'Again we demanded, and again he refused. It was then when..' she takes a short breath, flexing fingers in her lap, 'Vaeritas made to strike a bargon. He would give of himself for the sake of the undead.'.
Hostelner puts a bracelet of intertwined gears in a small box of interlocked cogs and gears.
Elisabeth says 'He offered that Cabadath may take his life, in return for releasing the fifteen zombies.'
Daerin says 'Objection, your honor.'
Elisabeth glances at Daerin.
Aziza glances towards Daerin, 'What is your objection now?'.
Belator Durmstrang asks 'On what grounds?'
Daerin says 'The deal, whether or not it was discussed, is irrelevant to this trial. It is not in question.'
Elisabeth lifts her dark brows at Daerin.
A blind, wretched-looking male human braces a fist to his face as he leans in with curiosity drawing up his eyebrows.
Belator Durmstrang asks Aziza 'Councilor?'
Aziza stares incredulously at Daerin, 'Are you going to suggest that everything which doesn't fit the defendant's view of things is irrelevant?'.
Cabadath flickers his gaze between Aziza and Daerin as they speak.
Daerin says to Aziza 'I'm suggesting that no charges were leveled regarding it, therefore, it has no bearing.'
Aziza says to Belator Durmstrang 'This so-called agreement, made from terms which would not stand in any tyrran court, are at the heart of why this fight took place. It is essential to lay the groundwork of our prosecution.'
Elisabeth nods at Aziza.
Belator Durmstrang taps his finger tips together, looking at Aziza.
Elisabeth insists that, 'If there were no deal, the remainder of the incident may well have gone quite a lot differently,' firmly.
Skylar rubs at her golden brow idly, looking past her palm towards Daerin for a moment before drawing it away from her face.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf crosses his arms with a snort, his posture suggesting that somewhere within the depths of his hood, his eyes are rolling.
Saoirse clears her throat.
The bailiff says to Aziza 'Remind your witness to answer only what she is called on.'
Elisabeth briefly bows her head.
Harroghty looks at the bailiff.
Aziza nods slowly, then addresses Elisabeth, 'Please only answer questions directed at you for the duration of your time in the witness stand.'.
Ailyn rubs against her brow briefly, silver eyes returning forward.
Elisabeth nods once at Aziza.
Belator Durmstrang glances at Elisabeth, then to Aziza, 'I will allow you to continue, but do show how this ties in to the deaths.'.
Elisabeth remains silent, looking toward Aziza.
Aziza gives a slow nod, 'My thanks, Justice.' She addresses Elisabeth with a firm look and speaks the next words very carefully, 'What did your brother agree to in exchange for the removal of the undead?'.
Aziza holds a hand up, 'Please answer in the most succinct way possible.'.
A blind, wretched-looking male human hunches his shoulders and tilts an ear to listen for Elisabeth.
Cabadath presses his lips ever so slightly, paying attention to Elisabeth.
Harroghty lets his hands fall from his belt and, instead, clasps them behind his back.
Thaien is devoured by a portable hole.
Elisabeth pauses ere answering Aziza, 'His flesh in exchange for the release of the undead.'.
Thaien has returned to this reality.
Aziza nods, 'You mean your brother's life?'.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'That is what the terms came to, yes.'
Aziza nods again, 'Very well. What did you do to prevent this deal from taking place?'.
A blind, wretched-looking male human leans over and speaks in a succinct and short breath to Hostelner.
Hostelner gives a brief nod to the bailiff.
Elisabeth lifts a hand slightly, 'I first attempted multiple counts of verbal dissuasion. At that point, my only care was for Vaeritas' well being, I did not wish conflict.'.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'But Vaeritas did not listen.'
Aziza nods slowly, 'So, did you attack Cabadath to prevent him from slaying your brother?'.
Daerin says 'Objection. The council is leading the witness.'
Hostelner motions for the bailiff to come over.
Elisabeth looks toward you and nods curtly once. 'As was my--'.
Elisabeth rubs at her nose.
Aziza holds her hands up wardingly, 'Allow me to rephrase the question. What happened when your attempts to dissuade from this deal were ignored?'.
Daerin nods.
Belator Durmstrang says 'Sustained.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'Rephrase your questions without giving the answer.'
Aziza nods at Belator Durmstrang.
Aziza says 'My apologies, Justice.'
Elisabeth holds silent to await permission to speak on.
Aziza asks Elisabeth 'What did you try after attempting verbal dissuasion?'
The bailiff leans towards Hostelner.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Thaien Hmmmms...
Katheryn's face is unreadable as her fingers unlink from each other, moving to toy with the devotional medal about her wrist, gaze shifting from person to person as they speak.
Saoirse rolls her neck slightly before turning her attention back to the front.
Skylar looks at Katheryn.
Elisabeth says, 'Neither Vaeritas nor Cabadath showing any sign to relent and every sign to near a killing before me, I alone engaged Cabadath with deadly force, to dissuade him physically.'.
Aziza nods towards Elisabeth, 'This is very important, then. You say that you alone engaged Cabadath with deadly force? How did your brother and sister come to be drawn into the fighting?'.
Hostelner speaks quietly to the bailiff.
Elisabeth waits for the objection...
Elisabeth takes a breath...
Skylar glances sidelong at Elisabeth, squinting a bit at the pause.
Daerin says 'Objection, the council asking a compound question'
Elisabeth stares at Daerin.
Ailyn rubs her brow again.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf clutches his sides as his body is rocked with silent peals of laughter.
Daerin says 'Court rules state that only one question be asked at a time, it is a form of leading the witnes.'
Belator Durmstrang says 'Sustained, rephrase council.'
Hostelner nods to the bailiff then leans over to A blind, wretched-looking male human and speaks softly.
Aziza clasps her hands behind her back as she addresses Elisabeth, 'How did your brother and sister come to be drawn into the fighting?'.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'The wizard employed massively deadly magics to burst the earth and sear the air with blinding fire. None were a part of the confrontation save myself and Cabadath until that point.'
A blind, wretched-looking male human bends an ear to hear Hostelner. He slowly nods his head, straightening.
Celric takes in a slow breath, gaze passing between speakers. His lips remain pursed tightly.
Aislynn hmms softly, her lips forming into a frown.
Aislynn is now AFK.
Elisabeth says, 'Those spells badly injured both Vaeritas and Isabelle, and they two faught thenceforth to defend themselves.' before falling silent.
Aziza nods towards Elisabeth, 'One last question, Ms. Marshall. How much of a danger were you to Cabadath and his fifteen undead goblins?'.
Celric glances over to the bailiff, and gives a small nod of his head.
Elisabeth pauses, '..An amendment, if I may?'.
Elisabeth says to Aziza 'I misspoke.'
Daerin says 'Objection, The question calls for a conclusion. It is not a fact.'
Aziza asks 'You wish to amend your previous answer?'
Elisabeth nods at Aziza.
Belator Durmstrang asks Aziza 'Counci;?'
Aziza nods again, after a few moments, glancing at Belator Durmstrang and then back towards Elisabeth, 'Yes, go on.'.
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'An objection has been raised.'
Aziza says to Belator Durmstrang 'She's being asked to draw a conclusion based on her own experience of events as they unfolded. That is expressly the purpose of a witness, to explain what happened. She is not speculating on what may have been, only describing how much damage she did to Cabadath during the fight.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Overruled.'
Belator Durmstrang says 'Continue.'
Elisabeth says 'I wished to clarify that Cabadath, myself, -and- the zombies were the only original combattants, not myself and he alone. I apologize for misspeaking, your honor.'
Daerin nods.
Thaien shuffles in his seat and leans to murmur something into Daerin's ear.
Other players see your pose as 'Cabadath is tenderly grasping the symbol around his neck, sitting besides Daerin.'.
Aziza casts a glance towards the three tribunes before returning her attention to Elisabeth, 'And your answer to the last question posed to you?'.
Elisabeth asks Aziza 'Restate it, please?'
Aziza asks Elisabeth 'How much damage were you able to inflict on Cabadath before he slew you?'
Cabadath's lips draw downwards in a slight frown.
Elisabeth pauses to consider before saying, 'I cannot say with certainty. I was blinded and utterly incapacitated for the majority of the conflict.'.
Elisabeth says 'The last I was able to see, he was not very injured at all.'
Elisabeth nods.
Aziza nods, 'Thank-you. That is all.' She steps back a few paces and nods towards Daerin, 'Your witness then, sir.'.
Elisabeth looks at Daerin.
Daerin bows before Aziza.
Belator Durmstrang says 'A five minute recess for those who need it.'
Cabadath shifts his gaze towards Daerin.
Furtaltik slides gently from his bench and patters quietly to the door.
Furtaltik rises from his rest.
Hagor stretches luxuriously. Makes you want to, doesn't it?
Skylar exhales a soft breath, checking the sundial on her wrist.
Belator Durmstrang says 'The ground are open for those who need it, but if you leave them, you will not be able to return'
Elisabeth dips her head at Belator Durmstrang, then rises to make way for Katheryn.
The set of black marble doors opens.
Furtaltik walks south.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Hagor peers into his waterskin.
Daerin pauses. 'Shall I wait before beginning my questions, Your Honor?'.
Hagor grumbles.
Skylar takes a fresh lemon from a huge pillowcase.
You nod at him.
Elisabeth coughs and totally didn't leave until she's certain she didn't misunderstand.
Belator Durmstrang says 'That would be best, though you might get them in order (write them out in a textpad).'
Daerin nods at Belator Durmstrang.
Aislynn Hmmmms...
Yuli rises from her rest.
Daerin is making this all up as he goes.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf leverages himself away from the wall with his shoulders and approaches Daerin with quiet strides.
You cough loudly at Daerin.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Elisabeth pauses, then asks Belator Durmstrang, 'I am free to go for the duration of the recess, your honor?'.
Aislynn approaches Aziza, saying softly, 'I apologize, Zi. I'm afraid I'll have to depart for now.'.
Saoirse looks at Saoirse.
A pretty, young female human is in perfect health.
Aziza nods at Aislynn.
Aislynn hugs Aziza.
Thaien hums a little tune.
Cabadath looks at Aislynn.
Belator Durmstrang says 'You may step outside, if you leave the grounds, you will not be able to get back in.'
Aislynn says to Aziza 'Beauty Bless you, friend.'
Hagor nods.
Aislynn looks at you.
Aziza says to Aislynn 'Travel safely.'
Hagor steps out for a moment.
Hagor walks south.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Elisabeth dips her chin. 'My gratitude.' she makes for Katheryn.
Cabadath mouths a 'Knowledge Guide.' , at Aislynn.
Yuli excuses herself briefly.
Yuli walks south.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
You see Before a grand citadel.
a paladin of Helm, a paladin of Helm, Hagor and Yuli are nearby south from here.
a phantom steed, a ghostly watchdog and Garoon, a dark roan warhorse are not too far off south from here.
Thaien raises an eyebrow at you.
Aislynn looks to you briefly, saying in the same gentle tone, 'However this comes to pass, I hope you do not see it as the end for you. There is always a better path.'.
Hagor walks in from the south.
Aislynn walks south.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Elisabeth makes a slight curtsey for Katheryn when she reaches the knight, then steps closer to speak quietly...
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf whispers urgently to Daerin and tsks under his breath.
Harroghty walks south.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the south.
Katheryn gives Elisabeth a warm smile and inclines her head politely.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf nods once and retakes his position leaning against the back wall.
Ailyn Hmmmms...
Celric looks at Daerin.
Celric looks at Aziza.
Aziza smiles at Celric.
Daerin grins at Celric.
Saoirse appears to be thinking very deeply.
Katheryn leans towards Elisabeth, then at the words gives a quick nod of her head, reaching into her satchel and offering a decanter to Elisabeth saying, 'Lilian had asked to come, but I felt it a bit...unfitting for the moment. Perhaps when she is just a little bit older, she might join you in another situation.'.
Thaien adjusts his positioning in his seat, leaning forward towards you and Daerin.
The five minutes pass, the trial is called back together.
Celric stretches his arms out at his sides, and returns the smile to both sides.
Cabadath leans slightly towards Thaien.
Yuli walks in from the south.
Harroghty walks in from the south.
The set of black marble doors closes.
Skylar looks at Harroghty.
Thaien nods and pats you on the shoulder, leaning back into his seat.
Saoirse wrinkles her nose lightly.
Harroghty walks up beside Gwain and claps a hand upon Gwain's shoulder before letting it slip off.
Elisabeth gives Katheryn a grateful smile and clears her throat a few times between gulps of water. 'I shall hope she will.' she returns the decanter, then makes way back for the stands.
The bailiff says 'All to there places, the defence may begin their cross-examination.'
Elisabeth thanks Katheryn.
Aziza returns to her spot and stands at attention with her hands held together behind her back.
Hagor sits down and relaxes.
Hagor sits on a long wooden bench.
Elisabeth meant stand, because they're not in an arena.
Yuli returns to her seat.
Katheryn gives a quick nod of her head, returning to her seat.
Yuli sits down and relaxes.
Yuli sits on a long wooden bench.
Daerin nods as the group is regathered. He approaches Elisabeth and smiles. 'Miss Elisabeth, I can't help but wonder. Do you value the lives of your siblings?'.
Aziza holds her hand up, 'Objection. Relevance?'.
Belator Durmstrang asks Daerin 'Defence?'
Elisabeth opens her mouth but pauses and rubs at her nose again.
A blind, wretched-looking male human stiffens his shoulders as he listens to the battle between Aziza and Daerin.
Katheryn blinks in surprise at Daerin, then looks between those speeking before settling back on Elisabeth with tightly pursed lips.
Thaien rolls his eyes at Aziza.
Hostelner shifts a bit in his seat.
Daerin says to Aziza 'Quite relevant, Council. If you remember, my argument has much to do with her personal outlook.'
Saoirse crosses her arms, watching quietly.
Aziza says to Daerin 'I fail to see what her personal outlook has to do with the facts in this case.'
Celric glances to Daerin, blinking owlishly.
Daerin turns to Belator Durmstrang. 'Your ruling, Your honor?'.
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Overruled, for now. Be sure to establish the connection to the factual events, and soon, defence.'
Daerin nods. 'The situation in question was one of great tension.'.
Aziza lets her hand fall behind herself again, 'Is that a question?'.
Daerin coughs loudly.
Daerin says 'Apologies. Bit slow.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'Council, please. Let him walk into the pit, dont push him in.'
Elisabeth folds her hands neatly in her lap, patiently waiting as she watches on.
Elisabeth coughs quietly.
Daerin says to Elisabeth 'I repeat my question, Miss Elisabeth. Please answer.'
Elisabeth asks Daerin 'Which?'
Daerin asks Elisabeth 'Do you value the lives of your siblings?'
Elisabeth nods once. 'I value all life, including those of my brother and sister.'.
A blind, wretched-looking male human blinks a few times as a sadness cloaks his closed eyes. He breathes out, the emotion traveling on his breath.
Daerin smiles and nods. 'That is good. When you attacked Cabadath, did you stop to think about his capabilities?'.
Katheryn's gaze narrows ever so slightly on Daerin at the question.
Elisabeth says to Daerin, 'I knew them well, but they were not relevant to my decision itself.'.
Daerin nods in response. 'I see. So you, when faced with a wizard capable of raising fifteen undead, did not stop to think that maybe your hostile action, would result in the death of your siblings?'.
Aziza raises her hand, 'Objection. Leading the witness.'.
Elisabeth pauses for the objection...
Elisabeth nods.
Belator Durmstrang says 'Sustained.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Rephrase, defence.'
Daerin bows his head, rephrasing the question. 'What did you expect the result of your attack to be?'.
Hostelner looks at you.
Cabadath intently gazes upon Daerin and Elisabeth.
Elisabeth says to Daerin 'I had no expectation. My hope, as I said, was to dissuade him from killing another man, to force him to either surrender or leave the scene.'
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Aziza scratches some notes down on a bit of parchment.
Daerin nods. 'A very noble response. What moved you to strike, unilaterally, while Vaeritas attempted to bargain for the release of the undead goblins?'.
Elisabeth recants, 'The defense of an innocent life, as is my duty.'.
Daerin asks Elisabeth 'And were your siblings not innocent?'
A blind, wretched-looking male human cups his face in his palm, a finger and thumb stretched like a bandits mask along his cheeks.
Elisabeth lifts her dark brows at Daerin. 'I certainly do not recall ever having read of demanding that undead be put down to be against any law.'.
Daerin says to Elisabeth 'Please answer the question.'
Aziza holds a hand up, 'Objection. Irrelevant and unclear?'.
Belator Durmstrang asks Daerin 'Relevance, defence?'
Harroghty looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Elisabeth looks at Daerin.
Daerin says 'Your honor, I believe that in her zeal, she struck without concern for her siblings life, forcing Cabadaths hand. By not considering other actions, she was negligent, and I intend to prove thus.'
Elisabeth's youthful features remain carefully neutral.
Aziza waves her hand lightly, 'Her actions do not excuse the actions of Cabadath, in any way, shape, or form. Nor could she have known or predicted how he would respond.'.
Aziza says 'I believe she has not been recognized by the court as a psychic, as it happens.'
A blind, wretched-looking male human says something in a tight and airy whisper, straining to keep quiet and still be heard as far as Celric sits on the other side of Hostelner.
Aziza says 'Your honour, the defense is on a hopeless fishing expedition.'
Elisabeth rests her chin in one hand.
Daerin smiles, remaining in order as he awaits the ruling.
Elisabeth looks at Skylar.
Celric glances across to A blind, wretched-looking male human, and leans slightly aside. He offers a small nod, and returns in quiet murmur.
Belator Durmstrang says 'Ovrruled. You may answer the question. However, you are at the end of the lee-way defence. And no commentary required council.'
Daerin bows before Belator Durmstrang.
Hostelner bobs his head a bit as he listens to A blind, wretched-looking male human.
A blind, wretched-looking male human nods his head conclusively, finding agreement.
Daerin looks to Elisabeth. 'Your answer, Miss Elisabeth?'.
Elisabeth tells Daerin, 'Vaeritas, whose life was in jeopardy, was at that moment an innocent man faced with death.'.
Cabadath glances momentarily between the three tribunes, returning then to gaze at Elisabeth.
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'You have her answer defence, prove her negligence or move on.'
Daerin nods to Belator Durmstrang.
Daerin nods. 'No further questions, your honor.'.
Thaien stares at Daerin.
Hagor disappears into the void.
Elisabeth looks to Belator Durmstrang.
Skylar stares at the sky.
Belator Durmstrang says to Elisabeth 'You may step down.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Your witness.'
Elisabeth dips her chin curtly before Belator Durmstrang, then steps away to regain her seat beside Isabelle.
Ailyn hmms softly.
Daerin says 'I'd like to call Cabadath to the stand.'
Your pose is reset to normal.
Cabadath stands in a orderly manner, finding his way to the stand, he sits down.
Other players will see your pose as 'Cabadath is sitting in the witness stand.'.
Gwain looks at you.
You no longer see in the dark.
Daerin nods. 'Master Cabadath, tell me. When faced with the children in question, how did they approach you?'.
You nod.
Celric nods faintly, his agreement with Hostelner.
Daerin coughs loudly.
Elisabeth snickers with Aziza.
Hagor turns quite pale and begins to shiver uncontrollably!
Daerin coughs loudly.
A blind, wretched-looking male human I will jump through this fourth wall and sneak attack you. Shh.
Aziza holds a leather binder of parchment in her right hand.
Aziza stops using a leather binder of parchment.
Aziza holds a piece of parchment in her right hand.
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf looks at Hagor.
Aziza gets a quill from a large bag with a newspaper pattern.
Belator Durmstrang says to you 'Answer the question.'
Aziza writes something on a piece of parchment.
Aziza stops using a piece of parchment titled: Questions.
Aziza gives a piece of parchment titled: Questions to Skylar.
Daerin shrugs and moves on.
Cabadath breathes in slowly, then breathes out.
Elisabeth looks at you.
Celric looks at you.
A ghostly watchdog stops following you.
Isabelle clings to Elisabeth's hand with both of her own.
Elisabeth gives Isabelle's hand a gentle squeeze, casting a brief, reassuring smile toward Isabelle.
Cabadath nods at Daerin, 'I swear to tell the truth and only the truth, and acknowledge being liable to damnation of my soul under the eye of my Lord Oghma.' , he then continues, answering the question, 'I was conducting experimental research on the lower hallways of the Howling Peaks, when the three Marshall children approached and correctly inferred the undead were mine, they immediatly moved to demanding that i gave up my test subjects, and that i put ' them down."
Daerin nods at you. 'Were the trio openly hostile?'.
Cabadath ponders the question for a moment, then nods, 'In demanding i relinquish the test subjects, they implied not hesitating in using force to stop my experiment.'.
Daerin nods in response. 'At any point, did you threaten their lives directly?'.
Thaien coughs quietly and clears his throat.
Aziza raises a hand lightly, 'The court is not interested in Cabadath's interpretations of implications.'.
Belator Durmstrang asks Aziza 'Is that an objection?'
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf looks at Aziza.
Aziza nods, 'Ah, yes, yes it is.'.
Cabadath glances between Daerin and Aziza and then at Belator Durmstrang.
Gwain looks at Belator Durmstrang.
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Sustained, your witness should answer questions with what he inferred, not what was implied.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Continue.'
A blind, wretched-looking male human blinks several times but remains quiet as a puzzled expression awash on his face.
Daerin nods at Belator Durmstrang, then asks once more. 'When approached by the three adventurers, did you feel your life was in danger?'.
Cabadath nods at Belator Durmstrang then at Daerin, 'They voiced their concern over the value of the test subjects, and voiced their desire to use force if necessary, to stop the experiment, so yes, i felt my life was in danger.'.
Daerin nods. 'And did you give the three the opportunity to leave without conflict?'.
Cabadath nods at Daerin, 'I did.'.
Aziza scratches down a few more notes in her binder.
Aziza holds a leather binder of parchment in her right hand.
Daerin asks 'And did they take you up on that opportunity?'
Thaien hums to himself and nods a few times.
Cabadath shakes his head at Daerin, 'They did not.'.
Daerin nods. 'What did they do?'.
Elisabeth looks at you.
Celric looks at Elisabeth.
Elisabeth looks at Celric.
Daerin looks at Elisabeth.
Celric offers Elisabeth a brief nod as their eyes meet, before his attention returns again to you.
Cabadath ponders the question for a moment, then nods, 'At first, the attempt to solve the dispute with the minimal amount of bloodshed possible was attempted by me, by not posing a hostile threat to them, but they would not leave without the certainty that the experiment was ruined, so, Master Vaeritas offere' d himself in exchange, but he was interrupted by her sister, in attacking me, at that time, the other two did not, understandably, allow their sister to fight alone, and joined her on the onslaught, the test subjects grew agittated, and joined too. I defended myself, and regretfully, ended their lives."
Elisabeth nods at Celric.
Thaien nods at you.
Daerin nods. 'Do you regret the loss of life?'.
Hostelner says 'I would clarification on a subject, please.'
Celric nods his head in agreement with Hostelner.
Cabadath frowns a bit, 'I do. Un--'.
Cabadath gazes at Hostelner.
Katheryn glances at Elisabeth.
Belator Durmstrang asks Hostelner 'Yes?'
A blind, wretched-looking male human slowly nods his head, looking to Hostelner with some hope in his cloudy eyes.
Elisabeth murmurs briefly aside to Katheryn, then gently ahems and looks forward once more.
Elisabeth smiles at Ailyn.
Hostelner says 'What does experimenting with undead entail? And how many are needed for such experimentation? Excuse me as necromancy is out of my sphere.'
You hear the sound of eerie music nearby.
Aziza keeps quiet as she glances between Daerin and Hostelner.
Daerin turns to Belator Durmstrang. 'Who should answer the question, your honor?'.
Katheryn considers Elisabeth a short moment before reaching out and giving Elisabeth's arm a brief, gentle squeeze before her gaze shifts to you with a stern expression.
Ailyn hmms softly.
Belator Durmstrang asks Hostelner 'Do you have a more specific question of clarification?'
Ailyn's hands pulsate and shimmer with soft light.
Hostelner says 'What what the experiment exactly'
Belator Durmstrang nods.
Belator Durmstrang asks you 'As succinctly as possible, what was the experiment?'
Cabadath nods and ponders for a moment before answering.
Belator Durmstrang says 'Rather you were experiementing with undead, what were you doing.'
A graceful, saturnine male .
You say 'The extent to which the control of undead mind can be stretched to, in other words, how well one can spread and maneuver dark energy to their whim, which requires increasingly larger amounts of undead.'
Hostelner nods and says briefly 'Thank you.'.
Celric holds up a hand and speaks up, 'If I might take this moment to ask clarification from the defence, as well?'.
Belator Durmstrang nods.
Gwain holds back laughter behind his hand, pounding on his thigh for a few moments before calming down.
Belator Durmstrang says to Celric 'You may, be specific.'
Elisabeth tilts her head with a blank look given toward you.
Ailyn pats Gwain on his back.
Gwain thanks Ailyn.
Thaien Hmmmms...
Thaien nods at Daerin.
Celric nods to Belator Durmstrang, and glances to Daerin, 'The creation of the undead was touched on briefly. For the record, the defence means that the defendent, himself, was responsible for -animating- these corpses?'.
Aziza scratches a few more notes down in her binder.
Daerin nods at Celric. 'That is correct.'.
Belator Durmstrang nods.
Celric purses his lips, and gives only a small nod to Daerin, 'Thank you.'.
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Carry on.'
Daerin nods at Belator Durmstrang.
Skylar's lips curl faintly, her teeth showing only a moment before the expression fades.
Daerin asks you 'During the course of your interaction with the trio, who initiated the conversation about the deal regarding the exchange of Vaeritas' life for that of releasing the undead?'
Cabadath nods at Daerin, 'If you're asking who started the deal, Vaeritas.'.
Daerin nods at you.
Daerin asks you 'To clarify, he offered his life, unbidden?'
Cabadath nods at Daerin, 'He offered agency over his life, rather.'.
Aziza holds her hand up, 'Objection. Relevance?'.
Cabadath glacnes at Aziza then back at Daerin.
Belator Durmstrang looks at Daerin questioningly.
Aziza adds, 'Also, consent cannot be given for murder. It is only the domain of the gods to give and take life.'.
A graceful, saturnine male halfelf coughs into his hand, and the cough sounds oddly like the word, 'Commentary.'.
Daerin nods, conceding the point. 'I withdraw the question.'.
Belator Durmstrang says to Aziza 'One objection at a time.'
The bailiff points at A graceful, saturnine male halfelf, raising a single finger of warning.
Hostelner looks at A graceful, saturnine male halfelf.
Daerin asks you 'Once Vaeritas offered his life and you accepted, what happened next?'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'You must answer the first objeciton.'
Daerin says to Belator Durmstrang 'I withdrew my question, your honor.'
Belator Durmstrang says to Daerin 'Very well. Procede.'
Daerin asks you 'Once Vaeritas offered his life and you accepted, what happened next?'
Cabadath shakes his head at Daerin, 'We were discussing the terms of the exchange, when Elisabeth attacked me.'.
Daerin nods. 'And how did you respond to that attack?'.
Hostelner laces his fingers and sets them in his lap.
You say 'I defended myself, seeing a onslaught of three adventurers on myself, i acted to stop them.'
Elisabeth tilts her head further still, loose onyx locks falling a bit into her face.
Daerin nods in response. 'No further questions, your honor.'.

A scrawny male rock gnome is in perfect health.
Furtaltik is using:
<worn on finger> an elegant onyx ring set with a boldly cut aventurine (perfect)
<worn on ears> a fine monocle (perfect)
<worn on body> a stylish snowy white waistcoat (perfect)
<worn on body> a concealed pocket (perfect)
<worn on legs> fine silk pantaloons (perfect)
<worn on feet> a pair of intricately stitched silk ankle boots (perfect)
<worn on hands> a pair of fingerless turquoise silk gloves (perfect)
<worn around wrist> a gold cufflink (perfect)
<worn around wrist> a gold cufflink (perfect)
