I know that sometimes we are in a hurry because we need to leave due to rl situations but don't just assume something of other people. The reason I say this is because of something that happened to my druid that upset me quite a bit.
I was in the most southern part of the realms when I got a tell telling me someone had died in Howling Peaks and wanting to know if I could handle it. The thing I thought about when I went to make my reply was that I was to far away to get their quickly without the aid of magic. But this isn’t even about that. What I was the most upset with is that the person did not wait for me to respond they logged off and just assumed I would drop whatever I was doing and go to the aid of the person who died. What if I had been in the middle of a fight and missed the tell due to spam, or in the middle of rp with my goddess (something I had actually just finished doing), or getting ready to log off for the night? They never would have known because they had left. That could have left the person who had died stuck not knowing if anyone was going to be coming to help. It also helps to give the name of the person who died if you are calling for someone to come help them because we may not know who they are. We may have to find someone else to help them if we are not able to do so.
All I ask is that you wait a couple of seconds for the person to respond to make sure they got the message before you decide to log off. They may not be available at that moment in time.

Yeh I can add a point to this as well...
I was in Corwell helping out a friend on his deity quest, and I got a tell from a player I had guided to Tantras the night previously. He asked me to come and guide him back to Waterdeep, I said that I couldn't and was in the Moonshaes and to sit it out for a bit. He then started to get a little irritated saying "Oh well what am I supposed to do, I am outside the city and it is dark and I have not got a light" etc...
It just really bugged me that he expected me to drop everything I was doing, get on a boat that did not leave for 12hrs (in game), and then trek across the continent to guide him back to Waterdeep after only knowing him for the time it took Eamane and I to guide him there without even a please...

A little courtesy doesn't hurt...

What matters the most is how well you walk through the fire.
