[SPELL] HASTE

Post by Vindur » Sat Apr 28, 2007 4:16 pm

Haste
Transmutation
Level: Brd 3, Sor/Wiz 3
Duration: 1 round/level

The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

Grants one extra attack. A hasted creature also gets some defense bonus and attack bonus.

Perhaps they are able to move one speed faster as well?

If it's in numbers of rounds, it might be preferable to have a separate spell of a non-combative nature that confers speed-- Wings of the Zephyr, a higher level fly spell, perhaps? Though I suppose for fleeing the scene speed might be very useful as well, even in the short-term.

Maybel: Yes.

Amalia: Haste is useful to fight better or avoid a fight, as many spells they are supposed to be used when are really necessary, if someone wants to run faster for a long time he should get the run feat, otherwise nobody will train the feat. (Think about someone with the run feat and hasted - he would be REALLY fast although for a while)

If implemented, this should also fatigue a character, as the canon haste spell does, I believe.

By rules Haste doesn't fatigue or exhaust a character although maybe could use movement points of the character while active.
