Saranya wrote:Sir Karl Sunstar walks in from below.

Sir Karl Sunstar hmms a jaunty tune as he tramps up the stairs.

You chuckle.

You move quickly to your feet.

You bow before him.

Sir Karl Sunstar feigns bending over and leaning his weight upon his sword a moment.

Sir Karl Sunstar says 'Just let me catch my breath.. all those stairs...'

Saranya smiles brightly, 'How nice to see you again, Sir!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar smiles warmly as he straightens up.

Saranya nods seriously, 'Must be all that plate armour!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'My lady, you positively glow. I see your squiring has been good to you'

Sir Karl Sunstar looks at you.

Saranya chuckles, 'I hope I have been good to it as well, Sir' she says with a smile.

Sir Karl Sunstar taps a finger to his cheek 'Oh... I think we can safely say that you have not let the church down'.

You tell An amber-tinged male aasimar, OOC 'If you are in the vicinity you might want to wander by the Mornin Temple. :)'

Sir Karl Sunstar says 'Rescuing goddesses.... maintaining the laws of a free society.. and in between times, cutting a dashing figure about the realms'

Saranya says seriously for once, 'That I am most happy to hear, Sir. I have tried my best'.

Sir Karl Sunstar inclines his head 'A most fitting proclaiming of what it is to be of Our Bright Lord's faith'.

Saranya laughs, 'I see Lady Jaenoic did not tell you about the time I came to muster with mud on my boots'.

Saranya inclines her head, 'Thank you, Sir'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'I'm sure Ilmateran like to push a drop or two of suffering on to their Squires once in a while, just to keep the balance'

Sir Karl Sunstar nods at himself.

Saranya grins, 'It does counter all the pie I insisted on bringing along, Sir'.

Sir Karl Sunstar frowns a moment then 'But.. hmm.. there is one small problem in all your good deeds'.

Saranya looks alarmed.

Sir Karl Sunstar's face takes on a somber cast.

An amber-tinged male aasimar walks in from below.

Sir Karl Sunstar motions you to come a little closer, waving to Darord the paladin in a 'nothing happening here, honestly!' sort of way.

An amber-tinged male aasimar looks at you.

Saranya leans closer to Sir Karl Sunstar, looking very worried.

Darord the paladin eyes Sir Karl Sunstar a moment and then takes the safer course of maintaining his vigil at the stairs.

Sir Karl Sunstar lays a fatherly hand upon your shoulder.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'You see.. it is this'

An amber-tinged male aasimar puts his hands together, bowing lightly. 'Good eve, dawngreeters.'.

Sir Karl Sunstar's head bobs up a moment to eyeball An amber-tinged male aasimar and then down again to speak softly to you.

Saranya grins nervously at An amber-tinged male aasimar as she listens to Sir Karl Sunstar.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Well, it's most concerning... some from the other faiths who represent the academy here.. some from a few of the High knights I dine with when I visit Waterdeep'

Sir Karl Sunstar says in an overloud stage whispers 'Comments... terrible things comments'.

Sir Karl Sunstar shakes his head to himself.

Saranya frowns slightly moaning softly, 'I knew they would find out about the...pie!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Oh, pies are the least of it girl...'

You wince.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'You see... all these deeds and your natural charm and brightness'

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Tongues are wagging.. it's not right they say, not fitting'

Saranya tries to look as uncharming as possible as nods at Sir Karl Sunstar solemnly.

An amber-tinged male aasimar stands beside the vigilant Darord the paladin, asking quietly, 'Might I enquire as to what the matter is, sir?'.

Sir Karl Sunstar straightens a little, warming to the saga like a bard in a tavern ''Not right' says I 'Not right.. what's not right about it.. why I'll challenge the lot of you''.

Sir Karl Sunstar shakes his head a little 'But alas.. they're not wrong you see.. it isn't right'.

Saranya's eyes widen, 'And did they accept, Sir?'.

Sir Karl Sunstar shakes, a woeful look on his florid face.

Saranya looks crestfallen, 'I should yell at people more, Sir?' she suggests.

Saranya brightens with an idea, 'Maybe THROW the pie!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar holds the pose a moment longer, then grins hugely.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'No girl.. it isn't right that after all these notable deeds and the great works done in our Lord's name...'

Sir Karl Sunstar exclaims to you 'That you're still only a blasted Squire!'

Darord the paladin dares a faintly disapproving look at Sir Karl Sunstar.

Saranya blushes and looks accusingly at Sir Karl Sunstar, 'I thought you were about to demote me to Page, Sir!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar lifts a pudgy finger to wag it at Darord the paladin 'Oh hush Darord... I can still send you to the stables if I have to'.

An amber-tinged male aasimar on the other hand shines up a bit, as he listens.

Sir Karl Sunstar exclaims to you 'Hah!'

You gasp at him.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Demote the finest student I've seen in many a year'

Sir Karl Sunstar throws a meaningful look at Darord the paladin.

Darord the paladin shuffles his feet a little.

Saranya relaxes a bit and begins to smile again, 'No throwing pie then, Sir?' she sounds a bit disappointed.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'A bit of decorum I think, if I am to knight you...'

Saranya ahems and nods, still smiling, 'Yes Sir' she says firmly, straightening up a bit.

You wink at An amber-tinged male aasimar.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Not too much though.. or they might mistake you for one of those tedious Helmites'

Sir Karl Sunstar asks you 'You remember Marando aye?'

Saranya blinks in dismay, 'Or a Tormite!'.

An amber-tinged male aasimar flashes a bright smile at you.

Sir Karl Sunstar feigns a wince and effects a stiff-necked pose.

Saranya bows her head, 'Yes Sir, I do'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says in a slightly nasal pompous imitatIon 'No laughter, no smiling and positively no getting up at dawn if you are only going to look at the Sunrise...'.

Sir Karl Sunstar relaxes with a wink and a grin.

Saranya chuckles softly, 'We learn much from the other Orders, Sir, but I do not have to like their parties!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar nods 'Just so, just so...'.

Sir Karl Sunstar nods once more, all business now... and the transformation is all the more impressive for its difference from his normal jovial tone and countenance.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'You will kneel before the altar Squire Saranya'

Sir Karl Sunstar says to Darord the paladin 'And you will take a place at her shoulder Sir Darord, your mark as witness'

Saranya blinks once as in disbelief that this is actually happening, and then smiles, kneeling before the altar.

You kneel down.

Darord the paladin snaps off an impressive bow and strides forward to take station at your shoulder.

Saranya manages a nervous grin at An amber-tinged male aasimar and then composes her face.

Sir Karl Sunstar asks An amber-tinged male aasimar 'Take a pew lad... and be ready with a huzzaah or two at the end eh?'

An amber-tinged male aasimar straightens his back, giving you an encouraging nod and calm smile.

Sir Karl Sunstar steps forward with a measured pace, coming to stand before you.

Sir Karl Sunstar bows deeply toward the altar and then turns to look down up you.

Sir Karl Sunstar says 'By virtue of my station and the good graces of out Holy Church I raise up this Squire to be called a Knight of Lathander'

Saranya can not help but beam with happiness as she remains kneeling.

A tabby cat walks in from below.

Sir Karl Sunstar asks you 'Do you make oath to uphold the creed of our Church, to ever protect, honour and afford support to those your brothers and sisters in Lathander's grace?'

Saranya says firmly, 'Yes Sir I do.'.

Sir Karl Sunstar asks 'And will you pledge also to give counsel and aid to those our loyal allies of the goodly churches should they have need?'

You say with a smile 'Aye Sir, any in need'

Sir Karl Sunstar nods approvingly, then lifts his gaze to Darord the paladin.

An amber-tinged male aasimar looks at Darord the paladin.

Darord the paladin declaims softly 'So do I witness!'.

Saranya smiles broadly at Darord the paladin.

Sir Karl Sunstar asks you 'Have you any oath that you wish to make to further bond your promise to Lathander?'

You smile.

Sir Karl Sunstar leans in and whispers - very discretely this time 'Nothing about pies, mind...'.

Saranya looks disappointed for a moment but then nods.

Saranya smiles brightly, 'I vow further to set an example to others of the Light of Dawn's Service,

A tabby cat purrs rubs up against Shachar Arun, Priest of the Dawn's legs.

Saranya finishes her vow, 'And to keep humour, renewal, and love in my heart as I strive to add to the Joy and Optimism my Lord has graced to the Realms.'.

Saranya smiles brightly with just a slight wink at Sir Karl Sunstar, 'With or without pie,' she whispers.

Sir Karl Sunstar plants his great broadsword down before him with a loud clang 'Your oaths are acceptable!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar rises up the blade, laying it gently upon your right shoulder.

Sir Karl Sunstar swivels his wrists with age-old practise.

Saranya bows her head, grinning as Sir Karl Sunstar lays the blade.

Sir Karl Sunstar lays the sword gently down upon your left shoulder.

Sir Karl Sunstar exclaims to you 'Arise then Lady Saranya, knight of Lathander!'

Saranya laughs brightly as she rises to her feet.

You move quickly to your feet.

Sir Karl Sunstar steps back with a huge grin.

Saranya shakes her head, smiling, 'Can it be, Sir?'.

The Eastern sky takes on a faint pink tinge despite the Dawn being still hours distant

And bells ring out joyously from the Spires of Morning in Waterdeep

An amber-tinged male aasimar grins widely, waving a hand in the air. 'Believe it. Huzzah, for Lady Saranya! Huzzah!'.

Saranya's face brightens with wonder as she notes the Light, 'He accepts me then, after all the troubles I give Him' she says reverently.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Trouble is relative my Lady... and he loves us all dearly I truly believe'

Saranya grins happily at An amber-tinged male aasimar, 'Thank ye, Priest! And well met on this happy occasion!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar smiles.

Sir Karl Sunstar asks 'What other place for one such as me save in His service?'

Saranya turns to Sir Karl Sunstar, 'Aye in such wonder He does, Sir.'.

Sir Karl Sunstar turns to An amber-tinged male aasimar and says 'Aye.. where's our cheering fellow?'.

A curly-haired goateed male human walks in from below.

A curly-haired goateed male human blinks.

Saranya laughs, 'Or I! I think the Tormites would not have me,' she confesses with a grin.

An amber-tinged male aasimar dips his head to you and Sir Karl Sunstar, stepping forth. 'Right here, sir.'.

A curly-haired goateed male human quickly bows, 'Pardon my intrusion.'.

Sir Karl Sunstar waves a hand 'Hah! only if you were a Duty, Lady'.

Saranya dips her head to A curly-haired goateed male human, 'Good day and night it would seem, Sir' she laughs brightly.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'But I'm sure you can show them all how to honour the code and do so smiling at least...'

An amber-tinged male aasimar turns to A curly-haired goateed male human, smiling brightly. 'Adil!

Greetings! Pray, join us?'.

Sir Karl Sunstar turns to wave towards A curly-haired goateed male human.

A curly-haired goateed male human says to An amber-tinged male aasimar 'Certainly.'

A curly-haired goateed male human greets you.

Sir Karl Sunstar exclaims to Adil 'Come in... come in then.. don't be shy!'

Saranya lifts the long-abused tabard from her shoulders, 'I think I shall give this poor garment a rest'.

Adil nods, moving to join the rest.

Sir Karl Sunstar grins at you.

Saranya grins at Adil and An amber-tinged male aasimar, 'Do not tell Sir Karl, but I brought pie!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'I have a few keepsakes I'd like for you to have in its place then...

nothing much, just bric-a-brac really...'

Sir Karl Sunstar looks a little embarrassed but ploughs on valiantly.

Sir Karl Sunstar gives you a tarnished sun-shaped necklace.

Saranya looks suspiciously at Sir Karl Sunstar, 'I remember the last time you said that, Sir!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar coughs, a little uncomfortably, but not it seems from any recollection of the jest he played.

Sir Karl Sunstar gives you a copper ring with a rising sun symbol.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'These were given to me by a young girl.. when I was but a squire and several meals lighter than now'

Sir Karl Sunstar manages a soft smile once more.

Saranya smiles, accepting the gifts solemnly, 'They had jewelry back then, Sir?' she asks amazed.

You slip your finger into a copper ring with a rising sun symbol.

Sir Karl Sunstar wags a pudgy finger 'Now then...'.

You wink at Sir Karl Sunstar.

An amber-tinged male aasimar chuckles mildly at you.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Anyway.. she liked to track mud all over the kitchen and drop new loaves to the floor with her fun... so i felt you could have them in my stead'

Sir Karl Sunstar coughs once more 'Sentimental old duffer I am... and if you let on to any of the Squires or Knights I'll pummel you in the practise yard'.

Saranya smiles and nods, 'I understand,' she grins.

Sir Karl Sunstar nods 'Excellent....'.

Sir Karl Sunstar smiles at you.

Sir Karl Sunstar says to you 'Now, away with you.. no more duties.. go greet the Dawn out in the open and spread word of your joy'

You have been blessed by your patron!

Saranya bows to Sir Karl Sunstar, 'That I will Sir. And thank you for all your teachings!'.

You get a single violet from a shimmering amethyst silk bag.

You give a single violet to Sir Karl Sunstar.

Saranya grins, 'A gift from another not-so-young girl,' she chuckles.

Sir Karl Sunstar wears a single violet on his ears.

Sir Karl Sunstar bends forward to lift up your hand and kiss it tenderly.

An amber-tinged male aasimar smiles brightly at Sir Karl Sunstar and you, lowering his head a little in respect.

Sir Karl Sunstar motions then 'Away with you now... and be sure to give all those stick-up-the-arse paladins a run for their money'.

Saranya smiles at Sir Karl Sunstar, a few tears in her eyes.

Adil smiles as he watches on.

Saranya turns to Darord the paladin, 'And my thanks Sir, for you witness and guidance all these years!'.

You bow before him.

Darord the paladin can not resist a little grin himself and a nod of acknowledgement to you.

Saranya grins at An amber-tinged male aasimar and Adil, 'And thank ye both for coming on this occassion,' she smiles.

Adil nods and smiles.

Saranya tries it out the first time, 'I am Lady Saranya of Lathander,' she says to Adil grinning a bit.

You greet everybody in the room.

An amber-tinged male aasimar cants his head to you. 'It is a great joy to be here and bear witness, my lady. Huzzah!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar grins.

Sir Karl Sunstar says 'Aye...'

Sir Karl Sunstar yells 'Huzzaah! '

You laugh.

Adil grins.

Adil exclaims 'Huzzah!'

Sir Karl Sunstar claps Adil on the shoulder, rather firmly 'Good lad!'.

Sir Karl Sunstar says 'And now.. I must away to greet the Dawn'

Sir Karl Sunstar bows before you.

Adil slightly staggers under the blow, but manages to chuckle.

Sir Karl Sunstar bows before Darord the paladin.

You bow before him.

Sir Karl Sunstar grins and waves as he trots down the stairs, belying his age and bulk with his speed.

Adil bows deeply.

Sir Karl Sunstar walks down.

Saranya chuckles, seeming a bit dazed.

Adil says to you 'Congratulations, Lady Saranya, I wish I had been there for the whole thing.'

Saranya grins, 'You missed only some small discussion of pie,' she admits.

You say with a grin 'Speaking of which!'

You give sunrise pie to Darord the paladin.

You give sunrise pie to Adil.

You give sunrise pie to An amber-tinged male aasimar.

A tabby cat purrs rubs up against Shachar Arun, Priest of the Dawn's legs.

Adil smiles at you.

Adil says 'I love this pie.'

Adil eats sunrise pie.

Saranya whispers to Adil and An amber-tinged male aasimar, 'Ye might wish to eat that downstairs. Sir Darord gets awfully cross about crumbs'.

Adil blinks.

Saranya grins, 'Me too!'.

An amber-tinged male aasimar turns to you, smiling brightly. 'Thank you, my lady. Allow me to congratulate you, sister.'.

Adil immediately begins looking around for crumbs to gather.

Saranya covers a crumb with her boot, looking innocently at Darord the paladin.
...never send to know for whom the bell tolls,
it tolls for thee.
