In-game Noteboard

Post by Elenthis » Thu Jan 29, 2009 12:04 pm

I have been asked to post a request to all players.

The in-game noteboards are getting cluttered! This is a great thing, because it means people are using them (and we all know coders get cranky when thier hard work goes into stuff thats never used!) But its making it difficult for people to sort through current and out-of-date info. So if you could all give us a hand and clear your old or irrelevent posts, it would be great!

I'm not sure what we're doing for chronicalling any news and whatnot. Hopefully someone will post an answer to that, but for now, if you feel your note is out of date, but makes a good historical refrence, then save the note on your compy, and PM or email it to whomever volunteers to chronical it!

Thanks guys

Elenthis makes a great point - in many cases, I hesitate to remove a posting because it is in some way tied to something that is still relevant in-game. So, I will begin posting historical transcripts to the Kingdom's Journal, of postings that may be relevant long into the future. Where I have the power to remove the original posting from the in-game notice board, to free up space, I will, but generally only the poster can remove an in-game message addressed to All. So I'd appreciate if you remove any of your own postings that you see chronicled for posterity in the Kingdom's Journal.

For now, just to keep us below the 100-message cap and allow space for new postings, if you have made a commercial posting (I can teach this, I sell that, I want to learn this, I want to buy that, etc.) that is no longer relevant, please remove it. Those tend to be the postings that become dated the most quickly, but are forgotten and left up. Thanks everyone!
