Algon, Fighter of Tempus

A priest of Tempus was traveling along the roads north of
Waterdeep one morning when he came upon a caravan of merchants that
had been attacked by bandits. The priest began to check the wagons
and the bodies lying on the ground for any signs of life, finding only
one a small boy. Algon was found around the age of seven or so. He was
bleeding badly from a wound to the side of the head. The priest did
all he could to help the boy heal and lay him on his mount to continue
the trip to his temple. Once there the priest grew fond of the boy in
his attempts to heal him. For several days the priest sat by his side
using his healing magic, the wound had closed by now but there would
forever be a bad scar on his face.

After several days of intense healing Algon finally awoke and found
himself in a strange room with weapons and armor all over the walls.
Naturally he believed this to be the home of the people who attacked
his caravan, so he decided to try and escape before they killed him as
well. He tried to stand, but was still very weak so moving was slow
and tiring. He began to roam the halls looking for a way out. He
was walking down a corridor when he heard a voice that he was sure he
had heard before, like a voice from a dream. He opened the door and
the priest saw him and ushered him to sit and told him what had
happened to his family. The priest asked Algon if he would stay with
him and allow him to take care of him, Algon accepted the offer and
began his life anew. He began to learn the ways of Honor and battle.
It was decided to send Algon to Waterdeep to begin his training at the
Font of Knowledge. After spending many years there he went back to the
temple where he grew up to find that the old priest had died. Algon
decided that he wanted to follow the footsteps of his adopted father
and began to worship and serve Tempus.
