Current Faith Manager: Deity Managed
Cyric is the god of murder, strife, lies, intrigue, deception and illusion.
He blesses the deceitful and the underhanded, favouring those who steal and
who backstab their foes, while damning those who aid others or respect the
dead.
The church of Cyric is widely (and justly) hated across all Faerun as its
followers are pledged to spread strife and work murder everywhere. In recent
years Cyric has recovered from the madness that drove the church to openly
oppose all other faiths, but many old grudges still remain.
Cyric's followers are obliged to destroy followers of enemy faiths on sight,
and will only tolerate their presence as a means to enact plots and acts of
deceit.
Dogma: Death to all who oppose Cyric. Bow down to His extreme power and
yield to Him the blood of those who do not acknowledge His supremacy. Break not
into open rebellion, for marching armies move the false deities to action. Fell
one foe at a time and keep folk afraid, uneasy, and in constant Strife.
The faithful of Cyric are known as Cyricists. All followers defer to priests
of the faith and treat them with respect, for they are the mouthpieces of
The Dark Sun. They favour black, purple, and silver garments and encourage
those capable to fight with a longsword.
Followers of Cyric may use their high favor to supplicate (see help supplicate)
for recall to a safe haven and resurrection. If they are extremely favored, they
may ask for and receive artifacts of Cyric.
