Damage Messages
When you attack and hit another creature, the game will provide you with an
indication of how much more abuse they can take before they yield. This is
done in the form of descriptive echoes, which grow more dire as they approach
death. They are as follows:
slightly scratched
a few small cuts
badly bruised
several minor wounds
a couple of severe gashes
covered in cuts and bruises
badly injured
bleeding from several injuries
bleeding freely
has several traumatic wounds
has blood gushing from several grievous wounds
leaking heart-blood
has suffered mortal injury
slowly bleeding to death
close to death
stunned, but will probably recover
mortally wounded, and will die soon, if not aided
