Drow personality and nature
Drow are calculating, cruel and chaotic. Delighting in suffering and
carnage, drow are trained to believe themselves superior to all other
races, especially their surface dwelling Elven counterparts. Trained
and conditioned from birth in a number of fashions, drow are introduced
to a matriarchal society of structured nobility and houses.
Vengeful and selfish, drow are prone to betraying a family member as
readily as a partner. Due to the structure of Menzoberranzan
drow live in constant mistrust, learning to watch their backs and to
be suspicious of all. Constant inter-house warfare allows for the
patron Goddess of the Drow, Lloth, to maintain control.
