(Disclaimer: Aesnir's accent is strong and this is in first person. You guys can tack on extra information if you want, I figured since nobody had done it yet, I might as well post what Aesnir would tell a curious individual asking him about it in detail.)
"Ya' wanna know what happened? Aye, 'course."
"Ya' see, the orcs have been raidin' Waterdeep for a while. This time, though, they were organized. They sent not jus' orcs, but ogres, trolls and someone kept raisin' tha' dead as zombies to keep fightin'. Was their leader, Jarg Brassskull. Hear he attacked Silverymoon at some point, too. Big orc, aye."
"His army killed a bunch o' us, least eight, then they left, jus' like tha'. Figure they were tryin' to regroup and come back while we did tha' same. Tha' Lord Piergieron showed up an' organized an assault on their camp as we recovered. At least a dozen o' us went initially. We flew to the plains outside tha' camp and we called 'em forth..."
"Turns out, things were more complicated than tha'. Tha' battle was one to remember, though. Wave after wave of goblins, orcs, trolls and ogres were sent, 'til they had exhausted most o' the camp... but tha' wasn't the end of it. Nah. We thought it had ended, aye, but it wasn't over. As we tried baitin' Jarg out of his camp, he called out to summon demons. Aye, demons."
"We lost a few in those fights. Started 'bout the same as before, but they kept sendin' more hellspawn in and stronger ones after tha'. Aye, lost 'bout five or six of our group which grew with a couple o' stragglers. When we finally killed Jarg, things got quieter. Jus' when we thought we'd won, most of us heard it."
"Tha' flappin' of massive wings, wings tha' couldn't belong to 'ny demon. Dragons. Two of 'em landed right in tha' plains and came chargin' with groups of one-eyes! Dun' remember much o' tha' part 'sides the fire and tha' claws. Aye, Sylen, strongest gnome I've ever seen and one o' the best of us, dropped and then it came to me. Tried my damnedest, but I ain' much of a match for a dragon."
"When I came to and aye, I was still livin', they were bribin' the winged lizards with the coin and armor of tha' tribe had left behind, bein' dead. Tha' battlefield was littered with so many bodies, some o' which I couldn't recognize as orcs or other, nastier critters. The dragons? They took those bribes, aye, and razed the entire camp to tha' ground. Fire spreadin' and ash blowin' in tha' wind. Think I even heard some o' the stragglin' orcs screamin'."
"Tha' orc, Jarg? I'll remember him for a long time, as tha' Hordeking of tha' Brassskull Clan. Only orc I've heard of tha' could get even dragons to help 'em."
