The legal/justice system
Many areas in Forgotten Kingdoms employ a unique (and we think really cool!) justice system. Most of the areas in the game have the following set-up:
Each area has a judge or magistrate NPC to whom mobiles and PC's can report a crime they have witnessed. This judge/magistrate will be in a room that is classed as a courtroom. When in the room that is a courtroom you are able to list and read the crimes for that area. Law enforcers of the area will carry out the punishments for reported crimes on the criminal PC character. These punishments depend on the crime and it varies from area to area. The punishments can vary from confiscation of an item, to having a limb severed, to execution and exile.
* Most NPCs that are an eyewitness to a crime, and survive the incident, will make their way directly to the area's courtroom to report the crime, before returning to their usual location. If they witness multiple crimes, they will only report one, then return to their normal location, then depart for the courthouse to report the next, and so on. If you want to silence them, you need to do so before they report the crime in the courthouse, taking into consideration the need to avoid other witnesses!
