If you log into the game from the same IP address as someone else (including
on two distinct computers that share an internet service account), when you
log in you will trigger an alert in the logs saying that we have an instance
of possible multiplay. This will alert the gods (game administrators) to
come down (into the Kingdoms) and check on what is going on. If you are
legitimately coming in from the same IP as someone else, like a sibling, a
spouse, or a roommate, then you need to let us know in advance.
The player with the already active account should post to the "Complaints
Reporting" section of the FK Forums, with as much detail as possible. (Note:
This would normally be an applications issue, but because it involves a
serious rules matter, the complaints system is used instead.) We want
to know information including what your network set up is, how many computers
you have, and how you connect to the internet. We also would like a list of
characters and who they belong to. If you prove to be legitimate then we
will add you to a list of players who legitimately log in from the same IP.
Once added to that list, if a deity approaches you about multiplay you should
be able to direct them to that list.
Please note that more than one person SIMULTANEOUSLY coming in on the SAME
computer is NOT acceptable. We feel that more than one person cannot devote
the time and effort needed for roleplay, etc. when sharing a computer.
