Online Help

Ask

Syntax: ask [<question you want help with>]

Please make what you ASK describe your *problem*, not the solution! i.e.,
please
ASK Can I get my pack back from a guard I mistakenly gave it to? as
opposed to
ASK Is there an imm online? The more descriptive your ASK
request, the more effective the help given can be. Thanks!

Ask is used to ask a question of the Player Council and/or the imm staff for
game support, help, and immediate need situations. When you ASK a question,
it is added to the queue for answer by the next available Player Council
member. Any imms (game administrators) that are online will also see your
inquiry, and if needed to solve your problem, they will involve themselves to
the extent that they are available.

Once you receive an answer (indicated by <answerer name> will answer your
question about <question>), you have a direct connection established with the
answerer until the question is closed. The asker can now talk directly to the
answerer by using 'ask', and the answerer can talk directly to the asker by
using 'answer'.

Note that if you decide that you no longer require an answer to your
question, you can remove your question from the queue by just typing 'ask' on
it's own.
However, please do not do this if someone is answering your
question - let the answerer close out your question, rather than doing it
yourself.

This new system replaces the old QUESTION channel.
