Welcome to Forgotten Kingdoms, a MUD-based D&D game set in the land of Faerun
of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.  (If you don't know what any of these
terms mean, please learn more about them using the helpfiles linked below!)
Forgotten Kingdoms is a roleplay-intensive MUD filled with many plots and
characters.  Your first step will be to create a character to play.  This
involves choosing a class: will you be a warrior, skilled in martial prowess?
Or perhaps a priest, devoted to a higher power and imbued with the blessing
of divine magic?  A wizard?  Knowledge of the arcane and the magical weave are
at their fingertips.  You'll also choose your character's alignment: will they
be dedicated to the cause of good, or have a more neutral outlook on life?  After
playing for a short while and learning how things work here, other options will
open up to you through our Kismet system; including additional classes
(rogues), races (from orcs to tieflings!), and alignments (evil).  (You can
learn about Kismet using the link to its helpfile, below).  After creating
your character, you will enter our newbie training area.  This area will teach
you the various commands that are utilized within Forgotten Kingdoms, and
will allow you to understand how to operate within the world.  All throughout
your journey within our game PLEASE do not be afraid to use the 'ask' command
to get help from fellow players with any questions you may have.  Our staff
