Re: Feast of Friends and Comfort

FYI, this clashes with another scheduled event on the 20th at the same time. On the 13th there is an even that starts 2 hours after this one, so that should be fine as long as it's finished in time.

Re: Mega thread: Rainy day simple fixes

The poison weapon helpfile needs a correction.

it currently states:

Code: Select all

Syntax: 'poison weapon' <weapon>

Abbrev: poison <weapon>
The 'poison weapon' <weapon> doesn't work because ' is an abbreviation for say. The helpfile should be corrected to just state:

Code: Select all

Syntax: poison <weapon>

Re: Wilderness Survival: Deserts

Just to check this for the calendar. 12PM EDT is 5pm BST as reflected in the countdown (not timezone calculator which is easier to view for other timezone) and also as the event posting in the FK calendar. That would have been around 24 hours from time of posting, not 11.5. Did you mean 12AM on the ...

Re: A suggested solution to improve the game in regards to PK and Death

PK situations are really quite rare in FK, and as someone pointed out above, this was not actually PK since nobody died (I'm assuming that everyone was on killmode stun and the protagonist died accidentally by not being aided in time. It happens). Even in a situation where a player dies as a result ...

Re: Fewer PvP Rules if Not on Killmode Kill?

I don’t see that any change in the rules would prevent the usual means of escape. If a PC wants to run now, they have that option and if they happened to be ambushed under any new rules and didn’t want to stand and fight, they could also make an escape. I don’t personally think changing a few of the...

Re: Fewer PvP Rules if Not on Killmode Kill?

I voted for removing the requirement when on killmode stun. I do think that in the majority of cases there should be background to the PvP, but I don't necessarily think that there must be lengthy RP prior to any PK situation if the history between PCs is there, and I also think that in those cases ...

Re: Trade Bar Discussion

When you exchange the bar for coins, there’s no echo to confirm the merchant gives coins back (he counts them then they appear in your inventory). I’d prefer that it’s made obvious, but it still works as is. I’m also undecided about whether having 500 gold coins returned is an inconvenience or not (...

Re: A question about Sandrew's description of the Faith Levels

There are certainly few enough clerics and even fewer druids as it is, I don’t see any value in restricting access. I’m one of those that remember when wizard spells above level 6 were so hard to find that most people didn’t have them in their spellbooks and a large number didn’t have trainers. I do...

Re: A question about Sandrew's description of the Faith Levels

You will gain the ability to train all prayers once you are faithed (at initiate).Your faith level doesn't have any impact on what you can learn or how powerful those prayers are, all faithed clerics have access to the same things. Sandrew could probably do with a small update to make this clearer, ...
